What Happens During Your Virtual IPS Experience
You’ve seen your gallery. You love your photos.
Now comes the fun part: deciding what to print and where to display it.
Virtual IPS (In-Person Sales) sounds formal, but it’s really just a guided ordering session. Think of it as having a designer help you choose the right pieces for your home.
Here’s exactly what to expect.
What Virtual IPS Actually Is
It’s a video call where we review your images together and figure out what works best for your space.
What we do:
- Look through your favorite images
- Talk about where you’ll display them
- Review print sizes and layout options
- Design your gallery wall (if you’re doing one)
- Place your order together
How long it takes: Typically 30-60 minutes, depending on how many images you’re ordering and whether you’re creating a gallery wall.
What it’s not: A high-pressure sales pitch. You’re never obligated to order beyond what’s included in your package. This is guidance, not a hard sell.
Why It’s Better Than Ordering Alone
You’re looking at 30-50 beautiful images. You love all of them. Where do you even start?
Without guidance:
- You’re guessing at print sizes
- You’re not sure what will fit your wall
- You’re second-guessing every decision
- You end up ordering nothing (or ordering too small)
With Virtual IPS:
- I help you narrow down your favorites
- We figure out sizing based on your actual wall space
- You see mockups of your photos in your rooms
- You make confident decisions
Most clients say they would’ve been overwhelmed ordering alone. Having someone walk you through it removes the decision paralysis.
Before Your Virtual IPS
A little prep makes the session smoother and more productive.
Review your gallery and flag your favorites. You don’t need to narrow it down to final choices, but knowing which 10-15 images you love most helps us focus.
Measure your wall spaces. Width and height of the areas where you’re thinking about hanging prints. If you’re hanging above furniture, measure that too.
Take photos of your rooms. Quick snapshots of the walls where you’ll display prints. This helps me visualize your space and recommend sizes that work.
Think about your budget. You’re not locked into anything, but having a rough idea of what you’re comfortable spending helps guide the conversation.
During the Session
We’ll jump on a video call and work through your order together.
Step 1: Review your favorites We’ll look at the images you flagged and talk about which ones you’re most excited about. If you’re torn between a few, I’ll help you decide.
Step 2: Talk about placement Where are you planning to display these? Living room? Hallway? Bedroom? Knowing the location helps me recommend the right sizes.
Step 3: See size options and mockups I’ll show you what different print sizes look like in your actual space. We can mock up your photo on your wall so you can see exactly how it will look.
Step 4: Design your gallery wall (if applicable) If you’re creating a gallery wall, we’ll lay out the images, choose sizes, and figure out spacing. This is where the Gallery Wall Guide becomes invaluable.
Step 5: Review and place your order Once you’re happy with everything, we’ll place the order together. You’ll see exactly what you’re getting and when it will arrive.
The Gallery Wall Guide Advantage
Gallery walls look great, but they’re tricky to plan.
How many images? What sizes? How do you space them? Where does each one go?
The Gallery Wall Guide takes the guesswork out.
It includes:
- Custom layout designed specifically for your space
- Exact print sizes for each image
- Spacing template so you know where to place each frame
- Step-by-step hanging instructions
You’re not guessing. You’re following a plan that’s already been designed to work.
The Gallery Wall Guide is included with select packages. If your package doesn’t include it, you can add it during your Virtual IPS.
What You Can Order
Your package includes a set number of digital files and print credits. During Virtual IPS, you can use those credits toward:
Professional prints 5×7 to 20×30 and larger. Archival quality, calibrated color, delivered ready to frame.
Canvas and metal prints Gallery-wrapped canvas or sleek metal prints. Both arrive ready to hang.
Framing options Professional framing available for most print sizes. Saves you the hassle of finding frames that fit.
Digital file collections Additional high-res digital files beyond what’s included in your package.
Gift prints Smaller prints for grandparents, family, or friends.
No Pressure, Just Guidance
You’re never obligated to order beyond what’s included in your package.
That said, most clients do add prints. Not because I’m pushing them, but because once they see the mockups and visualize the images on their walls, they want more than they originally planned.
If you want to order more but budget is a concern: Payment plans are available for larger orders. We can split it into manageable chunks.
If you’re not ready to order everything at once: No problem. Your gallery stays active. You can order more prints anytime.
After Your Virtual IPS
Once we place your order, here’s what happens next.
Orders go directly to the professional lab. I place the order with the lab I use for all my prints. They handle printing, quality control, and shipping.
Prints arrive in 2-3 weeks. Sometimes sooner, depending on the lab’s schedule. You’ll get a tracking number when they ship.
Gallery Wall Guide is delivered (if included). You’ll receive your custom layout guide with all the measurements and instructions you need.
I’m available for questions during installation. If you run into issues hanging your prints or need advice, reach out. I’m happy to help troubleshoot.
What Clients Say
“I would’ve been overwhelmed ordering alone.” Looking at 50 images and trying to decide what to print is paralyzing. Having guidance made it easy.
“Seeing the mockups helped me visualize.” It’s hard to imagine what a 16×20 looks like on your wall. Seeing it mocked up made the decision obvious.
“I ended up ordering more than I planned – and I’m so glad I did.” Once you see how good they look, it’s hard to say no. And clients never regret ordering more prints.
“The Gallery Wall Guide made hanging them so easy.” No guessing, no measuring, no re-doing holes in the wall. Just follow the template and you’re done.
