Today’s prompt is ‘bokeh’. Bokeh are the orbs behind a subject that are the product of your depth of field. One interesting thing to try that will change the shape of your bokeh is to cut out a shape on a piece of paper, put it over your lens and take a photo as normal – your bokeh will come out as that shape. Yesterday’s ‘Gold’ prompt

All of my prompts can be riffed on, and I was sort of stuck if I wanted to take ‘gold’ literally. Then I realized that I took this photo in the early hour of the morning, at golden hour. Golden hour is not just for the evening – a lot of golden hour shoots are done in the morning to take advantage of lots of different types of light and fewer crowds. It’s a beautiful, quiet time of day.
