Fall is the time for tiny things!

Mushrooms and spiders and birds, oh my!

I think I’ve talked about it before, but I’ve added two newish lens to my arsenal – the Sigma 105mm and the Sigma 150-600mm, which is an interesting range if you think about it. The 105 is a macro lens, and just the most fun. I like photographing the tiny things, and this lens is a dream. On the other side, the cannon (the 600mm) is great for reaching out to those skittish creatures who’d rather not pose for you today, thank you very much, be they deer, squirrels, birds or kids. Both lenses do better with a tripod or monopod, and sometimes I take my own advice and use one. I’ve added some photo stories that show a handful of images from my more recent roamings in my neighborhood, mostly shot on the macro lens. I hope you enjoy them from the safety of your mosquito-free home 🙂
